Beholder Nopes

I've been completely addicted to Baldur's Gate 2 to the point where it's now in my top 5 favorite games I think. Well....the first time I got to the Cult of the Unseeing Eye quest...you best believe I was severely unprepared for that shit. I didn't buy the shield at the Adventure Mart because I didn't know about it and really wish I did. My main character was a mage/thief and I just made her hide in the shadows with her casting haste on herself. I also had an undetection scroll and I just looted everything and ran my tits off. Eventually I resorted to the ctrl+Y cheat to kill them immediately but lesson learned. 

So this pretty much sums up my first encounter with this assholes.
